Breathwork

In 2023, I was sitting under a tent with 150 other women during a retreat with my mentor, Sarah Jenks. I didn’t know anything about (this particular form of) breathwork but the moment Jeannine Yoder walked into the tent, my whole body started shaking. I knew something important was about to happen. 


During that first breathwork session, I realized a piece of my soul had not been in my body. (I know it’s sounds kind of wild and honestly, it was!). Over the course of the session, I became more embodied, as in the piece of my soul returned to my physical being. I was crying and shaking as my body released and reintegrated. I also had a visit from my in-laws (who’ve been on the other side since 2008). They gave me an important message that helped me release a limiting belief that had been impacting my work since their death. 



I immediately knew I wanted to train as a breathwork healer so I could share this powerful somatic modality with my community. 



I have had all kinds of experiences during breath work - shaking, crying, screaming, laughing, writhing on the floor in emotional pain and in sensual delight. Every session is different, and every session is healing in its own way. 

There’s no way to know what your experience will be during breathwork. What I can promise is that I will hold sacred space and be with you every step of the way. 



Breathwork is a bridge between the subconscious mind, our cellular body, and the spiritual essence of who we are. It helps us clear stuck energy, shift limiting beliefs, and release stored emotions and trauma from the body.

The science behind breathwork is that it activates the parasympathetic nervous system. It floods our cells with oxygen, which activates the mitochondria (the energy powerhouses of our cells). This process of oxygenation gives your body a surge of vitality and facilitates emotional release. Breathwork helps reset the nervous system, bringing you out of stress mode and into a state of deep healing. It creates transformation on the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic levels. 



 

Join me for one, two, or all three 90-minute sessions (in-person or online).

We will begin with meditation and journal writing guided by the weekly theme. We will breathe together for 33 minutes. There will be time for sharing and being witnessed.

Week One: Give Yourself Credit

We will begin by taking stock of how far you’ve come. You’ll acknowledge all the work you’ve done to arrive where you are now. Through breathwork, you’ll more deeply embody the growth and healing journey you’ve been on.

Week Two: Pleasure & Play Are Essential Nutrients

We’ll explore pleasure and play as essential nutrients in this life. You’ll be invited to open up to joy as an important part of your healing process. You’ve probably done a ton of shadow work. Come see how powerful it can be to stand in the light.

Week Three: How Good Can You Let It Get?

Many of our nervous systems are wired to be comfortable inside of struggle. New levels of peace and joy can create discomfort simply because they are unfamiliar to the body. For our final week together, we will breathe with the intention of expanding our capacity for joy, peace, pleasure, and gratitude.
