Let the Light in!

 

One of the core tenants of the Sacred Feminine is honoring the cycles of nature.

I design my offerings to work with the Earth’s seasons and the work of summer is celebration, joy, and pleasure.

Summer is about being in the full bloom. It’s celebrating the fruits of your labor, sinking into the goodness of your life, and letting yourself play.

These things might not sound like work but the truth is so many people skip this part of the creation cycle.

They don’t pause to acknowledge how much they’ve grown or celebrate all they’ve accomplished. They are uncomfortable simply being with what’s good without any agenda. Pleasure and play aren’t seen as the life-giving nutrients they are. Life just becomes a series of tasks to complete; they go from doing one thing to doing the next thing and the next thing and the next thing…

If this resonates for you, I want you to know it’s by no means your fault that you struggle to lean into celebration, joy, and pleasure.

Our culture has taught us to be this way.

Capitalism, white supremacy, and patriarchy would have us living in a perpetual spring season - constantly on the go, focused on producing and performing, never pausing to rest let alone celebrate how far we’ve come.

So, even though basking in celebration, joy, and pleasure might sound like the opposite of inner work, it’s actually quite an edge for most of us.

I created Let the Light IN as an invitation to acknowledge and celebrate your growth, explore pleasure and play as essential nutrients in this life, and expand your capacity for joy, peace, and gratitude. This work will build your self-confidence, help you enjoy your life more (without needing anything or anyone to change), and grow your comfort level with things going well for you.

Let the Light IN might be for you if:

  • You have a hard time accepting compliments

  • You struggle to see your brilliance and own your gifts

  • You find yourself rushing from one goal to the next

  • You experience anxiety when things are going well (e.g., thinking things are too good to be true or waiting for the other shoe to drop)

  • You have a hard time naming what brings you joy

  • You view pleasure and play as frivolous, or even signs of immaturity

Join me for one, two, or all three 90-minute sessions (in-person or online).

We will begin with meditation and journal writing guided by the weekly theme. We will breathe together for 33 minutes. There will be time for sharing and being witnessed.

Week One: Give Yourself Credit

We will begin by taking stock of how far you’ve come. You’ll acknowledge all the work you’ve done to arrive where you are now. Through breathwork, you’ll more deeply embody the growth and healing journey you’ve been on.

Week Two: Pleasure & Play Are Essential Nutrients

We’ll explore pleasure and play as essential nutrients in this life. You’ll be invited to open up to joy as an important part of your healing process. You’ve probably done a ton of shadow work. Come see how powerful it can be to stand in the light.

Week Three: How Good Can You Let It Get?

Many of our nervous systems are wired to be comfortable inside of struggle. New levels of peace and joy can create discomfort simply because they are unfamiliar to the body. For our final week together, we will breathe with the intention of expanding our capacity for joy, peace, pleasure, and gratitude.

I booked a breathwork session with Melinda with the intention to move stagnant energy out & wake up the chi energy in my body.

I imagined it would be a nice self care moment that would make me feel good after but what I received was SO MUCH MORE!

Her grounded facilitation and loving presence helped me feel safe enough to access another dimension. I ended up having an incredibly vivid experience where my dad and grandma, who have passed, gave my upcoming project their blessing.
